The Grand Finale of Season One

We are so pleased to bring you the final episode of Season One of Infamous, "Fear Is Nothing." This grand finale is, by far, our best work to date, and we are absolutely beside ourselves with excitement. If you haven't done so, we urge you now to check out the twelfth and final installment of our first season right here, right now.

We'd like to give a super special thanks to Robert Foster and Myron Parran for being guest Cinematographers for this episode, giving it an ultra professional look and feel. Robert Foster has worked on the camera crew for over sixty films, including Straw Dogs, Jonah Hex, Leaves of Grass, Year One, and W (just to name a few). Myron Parran has served on the camera crew for over twenty films, including Straw Dogs, Drive Angry 3D, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Sweet Home Alabama. We are honored to count these highly skilled film veterans among our friends and peers, and we are completely psyched to show you just what they brought to the table.

Emmy winner Pruitt Taylor Vince reprises his role exquisitely as The Patriarch, and John Goddard, M.D. is sinister as ever as Eleven. These are two actors we never stop enjoying having on set and on screen, and we'd like to thank them ever so much now.

Again, we'd also like to thank Tac One Ops. Without those guys, our finale would not have been near as flat-out cool as it is.

We'd say we're going out with a real bang, but we're not going out at all - we're just on hiatus till we bring you Season Two! Stay tuned, and we'll

Special Thanks to Tac One Ops

If you haven't noticed already, Infamous has a lot of violence, guns, and fight scenes. These are generally not easy things to pull off (especially in a safe environment) in low budget, guerrilla film making. Our Season One finale, which we just shot this weekend, includes more of this than any of our previous episodes. So who did we turn to for extras with special knowledge and gear?

Tac One Ops, of course. Tac One Ops is a local Shreveport group of talent who are specifically military and police veterans dedicated to bringing their specialized skills to the big screen. Not only do they have civil service backgrounds, but upon joining the Tac One Team, they are trained in stage combat, stunts, basic acting, and basic production, so as to translate their combat experiences onto film in a safe, efficient, and ultimately professional manner. As if that weren't enough, they are able to provide their own costumes and weaponry! This past weekend, Team Infamous had the express pleasure of working with these guys as they lent their skills and gear to produce some truly amazing moments for the dramatic final episode of Season One. So, a special thanks goes to Quay Parton, Clinton Camp, Paul Murray, and David Lee for coming out and showing us how it's done. For more information on the Tac One Ops Team, please visit www.taconeops.com.

While you're waiting for this super exciting finale to come out, catch up on your Infamous in the mean time at www.infamouswebseries.com! And, please support us by supporting some of our awesome threads from our Zazzle store: www.zazzle.com/infamouswebseries*. Thanks!

Emmy Winner To Join Infamous!

Wow, it's been awhile since we've brought you some news, but that's because we've been staying busy to keep bringing you quality content! Now, we actually have an especially exciting announcement. Drum roll, please...

Episode 10, airing next week, will mark the addition of Emmy winner Pruitt Taylor Vince to the cast of Infamous! We are overjoyed to have such an incredible talent on board with us, and working with him has been quite the privilege. Mr. Vince's extensive resume includes such films as Heavy, Constantine, Natural Born Killers, JFK, Mississippi Burning, Identity, S1m0ne, and Angel Heart, and he has appeared on the TV shows (among others) Medium, Deadwood, Touching Evil, CSI, House, Alias, The X Files, Quantum Leap, and Murder One - his performance on which garnered him his Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series in 1997. We can't wait to show you what he has brought to the table, as he has certainly added a wonderful new dynamic to Infamous. We're also pretty proud to be able to say that we are the only independently produced web series to feature an Emmy-winning actor!

That awesome news aside, we know that you diligent fans of Infamous want to support us. So, in addition to tuning in every Monday (you have been, haven't you? www.infamouswebseries.com), we'd love it if you bought some Infamous merchandise to help keep production going! http://www.zazzle.com/infamouswebseries*

Big Exciting News!!!

We suppose we can't keep the cat in the bag any longer. We have some particularly wonderful news today that will also explain why you didn't see the third episode of Infamous go up just yet. Ladies and gentlemen, we have been picked up by a network, KoldCast TV.

KoldCast TV will host and distribute Infamous Web Series, and we are quite proud to be a part of their already established line-up of over 200 web-based programming, as it is the number one site for discovering new web entertainment. KoldCast prides itself on providing viewers with high-quality content and great entertainment value, as well as providing the recently developed e-commerce opportunity of The ShowShops™, where fans can purchase series and music-related merchandise. We've even officially gone worldwide, as KoldCast broadcasts in 138 countries!

What does this mean to you, dear viewers? Never fear: our episodes simply will now air Mondays instead of Saturdays, and Episode 3 will be up TONIGHT. We Do Our Own Stunts, Too

Infamous is an incredibly action-oriented show, and we have a lot of fight scenes. It stands to reason, then, that we feel a need to keep our actors and stunt-people (generally one in the same) in top shape so that they can keep up with the grueling task of filming the weekly series. How do we do that?

Enter Tracy Thomas, one of our very own stunt men as well as a health and fitness guru. Tracy runs a blog, www.yaboga.com, that we like to refer to that gives us awesome tips on the subject of staying fit. We're grateful to have Tracy's blog to ensure that we maintain a healthy set as well as healthy lives.

Don't forget that episodes one AND two are up; you can watch them on our official website, or on our YouTube channel. And please, if you haven't already, friend us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and check out our Zazzle store for official Infamous merchandise.

Series Kick-off and Denton Festivities

Well, the excitement and attention surrounding Infamous has been overwhelming this past week! We are so happy to see more and more people watching the pilot every day (What's that? You haven't? Go now to www.infamouswebseries.com OR www.youtube.com/infamouswebseries to do so right away!), and we're even happier every time someone responds with more of the wonderful feedback we've been getting. Thanks, guys, you're awesome fans.

We'd like to take a moment to reflect on the fun we had at the Thin Line Film Festival over in Denton, TX last week. Although we were only there very briefly, we were able to get the word out and meet several cool filmmakers and film supporters like ourselves. A special thanks to Denise Butler and Crystal Aguilar for their especially kind welcome, and to Kyla and Dennis Welch for providing a mass amount of food for the team, as well as lodging for the night. The whole experience was very enjoyable, and hopefully we'll get to attend next year as well.

Episode two, Genesis, Chapter 2, is underway. We can't wait to show you the next installment in the series, so tune in this weekend! Till then...

Final Countdown

Things are coming along great!  This week marks the final push for the launch of the web series... crunch time for everyone.  So, we thought we would drop in and give everyone an update.  We have a lot of exciting things that will keep us in the edit bays and on the road, so hold on to your popcorn...

Writer/Director/Videographer/Editor Joey Barto is putting final touches on the series pilot that is due to air this week.  With that, our very own multi-talented James Palmer is adding his flare as both Actor and creator of the musical score to the Infamous Web Series.  We have picture lock, and all will be mastered down for the premiere this week!

On the Website end, the initial site is up and running.  Final touches to a very organic and growing page will be added this week for the premiere, and we are all looking forward to seeing it up on its feet.  Harvard Taylor and LaTonia Barto are working overtime to have a great site up. It will be a bit bare bones at first, but keep looking for constant updates to see all of the new things we will be putting together on it. So don't wait, go ahead and bookmark away!  www.infamouswebseries.com

So, more busy... Yep, it is true, rumors may be dismissed: Infamous cast and crew are hitting the streets to get the word out.  We're headed to Thin Line Film Festival (www.thinlinefilmfestival.com) in Denton TX, the former home of our internet personality Melanie Welch and writer Travis Barth.  The Thin Line Film Festival is a documentary film festival, but it is a big supporter of all independent shows and we are happy to have been invited to watch, promote, and enjoy the festivities.  If you have a chance this week... while watching our premiere... you should swing by and check it out!  We will be passing out cards, posters, and talking to whoever is there.  Hope that y'all can make it!

So there you go. Lots to do, little time to do it in... ah, independent film, we wouldn't have anything else!

We will keep you updated on how the film festival goes and what we see there.

We will be posting the exact air date soon, hope to hear from everyone, and please get the word out.

Be Seeing You.

What we're looking forward to...

Waking up in a strange tenement building, filled with equally strange residents, John has no memory of his life before this, and is quickly discovering frighteningly powerful abilities that may be both clues to his past, and the reason he doesn't remember it. So who is Morgan, and why is she out to kill him? Why has he woken up in the apartment of Palmer, a nice enough guy, who happens to be a trained medic... and can apparently communicate with computer chips? And this eerie Solomon... who is he, and why does he seem to know more than he's letting on? All of these questions demand an answer for John, and fast. But, what will happen when they are answered?

Find out by watching Infamous! In these increasingly difficult economic times, the task of independently producing quality film seems more and more impossible - yet that's what we're doing, despite the odds. However, it can't be done without the the support of devoted fans. That's where you come in. Don't forget to check out more about just exactly how we're working to create something for you on an epic scale at http://www.youtube.com/infamouswebseries. Just by clicking the link and watching one of our short videos, you add to our growing audience that will, in time, earn us the funds to continue with this series.

Also, remember that we have some amazing Infamous products, including hoodies, t-shirts, posters, travel mugs, and more at http://www.zazzle.com/infamouswebseries*. You can even proclaim your loyalties to John, Morgan, Solomon, or Palmer on your hoodie of choice!

New EPK on YouTube - Infamous Makeup with Liz Bowen

Hello Infamous Blogger Fans.  Just put up a new video on how we are doing our Makeup.

In any Sci-Fi / Comic Book Series, Makeup can be very involved.  With limited resources in an Independent Web Series, it becomes increasingly difficult to produce any high quality practical prosthetic or Makeup apparatus that can be replicated and cost effective.  Add on top of this the difficulty of finding a Special Effects Makeup Artist and you are left with ingenuity.  Elizabeth "Liz" Bowen, has taken on the daunting task of learning Special Effects Makeup from the ground up.  With a little help from YouTube, a bit of medical research, an ability to create as an artist, her kids to practice on, and a drive not to quit, Liz has created a Makeup Design that is unique and professional.  In this Behind the Scenes video of Infamous Web Series, Liz talks about herself, the Makeup, difficulties, and how a full time mom became a Special Effects Makeup Artist for our show.  On top of all of this, Liz continues to help in crew, coordination, transpo, Craft Services, and... she is acting in the piece as the dark character of Morgan.

Independent Film is something that is not for the light hearted.  With low to no budget, creating a look that is real and that will captivate with common products, and some easily found affordable Ben Nye Makeup, will add to any production requiring blood and prothetics.  With Ben Nye products we are able to use a wide range of different things to create and layer a look that is impressive and real.  Powder, latex, and a wide color pallet offers flexibility.

To ensure that there is a consistency, Liz uses her iPhone to take pictures for continuity.  This product has been great, as we have integrated it into so many different aspects of our production.  It is easy, good battery life, and with the multifunction of a computer in hand, internet, and video applications, we not only stay in contact with each other, but have the opportunity to work fast and to proof anything we do almost instantly over the internet.  Smart Phone tech has come a long way and with the viewing ability of the phone and its pictures, which we are able to look instantly if there is a question of what needs to be done to the Makeup, Hair, and Wardrobe.

It is important to say that while Liz is doing all she can and more for the show; she is also a full time mom, works two jobs, and has a dog... the last of which is probably the easiest to handle.  She believes that if you want it bad enough, you can do it: Makeup, acting, Parent... not in that order.  It is great to have her on the team to produce something professional and exciting.

Be seeing you.

A Sneak-Peak, If You Will

Here's a new EPK with series creator Joey Barto that we've put out. He gives us a little more insight on what Infamous is, especially to him.

Official Press Release (What the heck are we up to?)

This is what happens when single parents, working actors, and a creative flare lead to the creation of an independent web series and network in the growing Shreveport Film Community.

Our production team includes two single parents, (Greg Washington, Liz Bowen), an ambitious first time writer/director, (Joey Barto), a small Shreveport studio (Fairfield Studios), and a group of creative actors working for an independent, unfunded web series.

What, exactly, are we doing? This is a web series and network that will host its flagship production of Infamous, an episodic web series consisting of local talent and production, working for free, to create something that will add to Shreveport’s number three ranking nationwide in independent film making. The story is based on super-humans and the gritty side of what would happen if real people - people with flaws - had to deal with true power.

The Infamous Web Series is currently in production of its first season and due to air in February. It's all created and produced on location in Shreveport, LA.

Drive and creative initiative has taken a group of local professionals and pushed the idea that Shreveporters and Louisianaians can compete with Hollywood and be a success; all with donated time, equipment, and a plan. The plan itself? To be the first web network created and produced in Louisiana and to compete on a national level.

Complete with drive, motivation, and not waiting on the business to come to them, this group of independent film makers, actors, working moms and dads, and creative talent look to produce everything from scratch and create business and production in Shreveport, Louisiana. From writing to production, from post to original score, we are a professional collaboration of local boys and girls competing with Hollywood in the third largest area of the nation to create independent films. The story, complete and packed with adult themes and situations and inspired by comic book stylings of the gritty pulp world, has created a series that will appeal to a wide range of audience.
