Yet another smashing review of Infamous, this time at CliqueClack, a website dedicated to all things television. Like the folks at Pink Raygun, they seem to love how we drop the audience smack dab into the middle of the action. Well, we love it too! Go ahead and read the review here, then mosey on over to our website or KoldCast.TV to make sure you're caught up in the series.

Review on Pink Raygun.com
Pink Raygun.com, a website dedicated to reviewing all things sci-fi, and mostly from a female perspective, gave Infamous a fantastic review! They said some great things about the story, the execution, and the performances, specifically highlighting that of John Chambers. You can check it out here.
Don't forget to watch the explosive fourth installment of Infamous on KoldCast.TV!

Big Exciting News!!!
We suppose we can't keep the cat in the bag any longer. We have some particularly wonderful news today that will also explain why you didn't see the third episode of Infamous go up just yet. Ladies and gentlemen, we have been picked up by a network, KoldCast TV.
KoldCast TV will host and distribute Infamous Web Series, and we are quite proud to be a part of their already established line-up of over 200 web-based programming, as it is the number one site for discovering new web entertainment. KoldCast prides itself on providing viewers with high-quality content and great entertainment value, as well as providing the recently developed e-commerce opportunity of The ShowShops™, where fans can purchase series and music-related merchandise. We've even officially gone worldwide, as KoldCast broadcasts in 138 countries!
What does this mean to you, dear viewers? Never fear: our episodes simply will now air Mondays instead of Saturdays, and Episode 3 will be up TONIGHT. Also, to view our episode, you can still see it from our website, or from the KoldCast website. So, essentially, there is very little adapting required on your part. Good news all around, it seems!

We Do Our Own Stunts, Too
Infamous is an incredibly action-oriented show, and we have a lot of fight scenes. It stands to reason, then, that we feel a need to keep our actors and stunt-people (generally one in the same) in top shape so that they can keep up with the grueling task of filming the weekly series. How do we do that?
Enter Tracy Thomas, one of our very own stunt men as well as a health and fitness guru. Tracy runs a blog, www.yaboga.com, that we like to refer to that gives us awesome tips on the subject of staying fit. We're grateful to have Tracy's blog to ensure that we maintain a healthy set as well as healthy lives.
Don't forget that episodes one AND two are up; you can watch them on our official website, or on our YouTube channel. And please, if you haven't already, friend us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, and check out our Zazzle store for official Infamous merchandise.

Series Kick-off and Denton Festivities
Well, the excitement and attention surrounding Infamous has been overwhelming this past week! We are so happy to see more and more people watching the pilot every day (What's that? You haven't? Go now to www.infamouswebseries.com OR www.youtube.com/infamouswebseries to do so right away!), and we're even happier every time someone responds with more of the wonderful feedback we've been getting. Thanks, guys, you're awesome fans.
We'd like to take a moment to reflect on the fun we had at the Thin Line Film Festival over in Denton, TX last week. Although we were only there very briefly, we were able to get the word out and meet several cool filmmakers and film supporters like ourselves. A special thanks to Denise Butler and Crystal Aguilar for their especially kind welcome, and to Kyla and Dennis Welch for providing a mass amount of food for the team, as well as lodging for the night. The whole experience was very enjoyable, and hopefully we'll get to attend next year as well.
Episode two, Genesis, Chapter 2, is underway. We can't wait to show you the next installment in the series, so tune in this weekend! Till then...

New EPK on YouTube - Infamous Makeup with Liz Bowen
Hello Infamous Blogger Fans. Just put up a new video on how we are doing our Makeup.
In any Sci-Fi / Comic Book Series, Makeup can be very involved. With limited resources in an Independent Web Series, it becomes increasingly difficult to produce any high quality practical prosthetic or Makeup apparatus that can be replicated and cost effective. Add on top of this the difficulty of finding a Special Effects Makeup Artist and you are left with ingenuity. Elizabeth "Liz" Bowen, has taken on the daunting task of learning Special Effects Makeup from the ground up. With a little help from YouTube, a bit of medical research, an ability to create as an artist, her kids to practice on, and a drive not to quit, Liz has created a Makeup Design that is unique and professional. In this Behind the Scenes video of Infamous Web Series, Liz talks about herself, the Makeup, difficulties, and how a full time mom became a Special Effects Makeup Artist for our show. On top of all of this, Liz continues to help in crew, coordination, transpo, Craft Services, and... she is acting in the piece as the dark character of Morgan.
Independent Film is something that is not for the light hearted. With low to no budget, creating a look that is real and that will captivate with common products, and some easily found affordable Ben Nye Makeup, will add to any production requiring blood and prothetics. With Ben Nye products we are able to use a wide range of different things to create and layer a look that is impressive and real. Powder, latex, and a wide color pallet offers flexibility.
To ensure that there is a consistency, Liz uses her iPhone to take pictures for continuity. This product has been great, as we have integrated it into so many different aspects of our production. It is easy, good battery life, and with the multifunction of a computer in hand, internet, and video applications, we not only stay in contact with each other, but have the opportunity to work fast and to proof anything we do almost instantly over the internet. Smart Phone tech has come a long way and with the viewing ability of the phone and its pictures, which we are able to look instantly if there is a question of what needs to be done to the Makeup, Hair, and Wardrobe.
It is important to say that while Liz is doing all she can and more for the show; she is also a full time mom, works two jobs, and has a dog... the last of which is probably the easiest to handle. She believes that if you want it bad enough, you can do it: Makeup, acting, Parent... not in that order. It is great to have her on the team to produce something professional and exciting.
Be seeing you.

Official Press Release (What the heck are we up to?)
This is what happens when single parents, working actors, and a creative flare lead to the creation of an independent web series and network in the growing Shreveport Film Community.
Our production team includes two single parents, (Greg Washington, Liz Bowen), an ambitious first time writer/director, (Joey Barto), a small Shreveport studio (Fairfield Studios), and a group of creative actors working for an independent, unfunded web series.
What, exactly, are we doing? This is a web series and network that will host its flagship production of Infamous, an episodic web series consisting of local talent and production, working for free, to create something that will add to Shreveport’s number three ranking nationwide in independent film making. The story is based on super-humans and the gritty side of what would happen if real people - people with flaws - had to deal with true power.
The Infamous Web Series is currently in production of its first season and due to air in February. It's all created and produced on location in Shreveport, LA.
Drive and creative initiative has taken a group of local professionals and pushed the idea that Shreveporters and Louisianaians can compete with Hollywood and be a success; all with donated time, equipment, and a plan. The plan itself? To be the first web network created and produced in Louisiana and to compete on a national level.
Complete with drive, motivation, and not waiting on the business to come to them, this group of independent film makers, actors, working moms and dads, and creative talent look to produce everything from scratch and create business and production in Shreveport, Louisiana. From writing to production, from post to original score, we are a professional collaboration of local boys and girls competing with Hollywood in the third largest area of the nation to create independent films. The story, complete and packed with adult themes and situations and inspired by comic book stylings of the gritty pulp world, has created a series that will appeal to a wide range of audience.
